Our Origin
Pastor Prince and his wife pioneered and started Future Glory Assembly of God Church & Future Glory Ministries in the year 2004. Our Pastor is the son of Late Pastor Eleazar, is a third generation minister of God. During his under graduate studies he committed his life for Christ. Being a student he started to do ministry in his college and become an active student leader in Campus Crusade for Christ. During his post graduation studies in Pachayappas College he led the prayer cell and also served as the president for Regional Student Committee of South East Region of India Campus Crusade for Christ. He took many students to do ministry with him. After his studies he worked as a teacher for Hr. Sec. Students in V.O.C. Hr Sec School, Chennai. Through his influence and ministry, God helped him to see 32 students committed their lives for Christ among 99 of his students. During this time ( 2001), after understanding the call of God he committed his life for full time ministry and served Christ under the banner of Campus Crusade. He served Christ in the cities of Chennai, Bangalore, Trichy ,Nagarkoil and Thirunelveli. In 2002 he got married with Kamala Joyce ( Suji ), a D/o. Rev. Dr. Devadhason. After finishing her M.Sc. in Mathematics, committed her life for full time ministry.
They continued to serve Christ as family among the students community in Coimbatore. In the midnight of 22nd Dec. 2003 for the first time pastor happened to visit a house in a place called Kuniamuthur for Carols. Above that house he saw an unused shed and enquired about that. He got the answer as ‘it was a church earlier, but because of the oppositions it is not functioning’. From this time onwards God gave him a burden about this place. On 8th Jan 2004 they resigned from Campus Crusade.
They went to the same place but the house owner was not interested. Then God gave a rental building and they started the church here 0n 7th March 2004, with the help of Rev. Abraham Thomas (Chennai) and under the local leadership of Rev. Simon James. God met all their financial needs. For the first 5 Sundays, only they both were there. No one turned for the service. Day by day God added people to the Church and now about 150+ people are attending the Sunday service each Sunday.
Our Church was recognized on 14th July 2005, in the General Assembly of Tamil District Council of South India Assembly of God. Pastor Prince Barnabas and his wife Sis. Kamala Joyce serves as pastor of this church. On this long journey of over 19 years, God helped us to achieve a Few things apart from our regular Church programs. Some of them are listed below.
1. Started two branch churches in Selvapuram & Kovaipudur as on April 2023.
2. Translated the 'Passion of Christ ' movie into the Tamil language in 2006.
3. Reached more than 16 lakhs people through gospel videos on Facebook and got a positive note from more than 6000 Tamil-speaking individuals till April 2023.
4. Published a book titled "EvangeBook " – a tool to share Christ with others in personal evangelism in 2013.
5. Conducted "Drug awareness programs " to more than 50,000 students in more than 40 institutions as on April 2023.
6. Developed a curriculum for children in Math, learning through Abacus in the year 2012.
7. Framed a curriculum on "How to Overcome Sexual Lust" in 2023.
8. Trained and encouraged thousands of pastors on Leadership, Persecution, and other related topics.
9. Trained thousands of believers on personal Gospel sharing.
10. Built an in-house video production unit and studio.
This is not a path of roses alone; many thorns were also there. To mention a few….
1 Our present place of worship is the 4th temporary place.
2 More than seven times, went to the police stations for unnecessary inquiry on Church vehicle parking, sound, etc.
3 On weekdays, conducting meetings is a question mark, because of parking problems.
4 Conducting special meetings in the Church is a big challenge.
5 Direct and indirect opposition from Others.
We are praying and planning to buy 15 Cents of land to construct our Church. The total cost to raise the Church with land is around Rs.2,50,00,000/- (Two Crore and Fifty Lakhs). This new church building will help us to take the Gospel and the message of Christ to a broader segment of people more effectively (both cost and time), resulting in a higher percentage of harvesting souls for the kingdom of God.
